NO. The President acts on behalf of the Association, not independently. Any petition to Sarasota County regarding road modifications requires Board authorization through a properly noticed and voted motion at a Board meeting.

Article III, Purposes 4 and 6 of the Bylaws require the Board to promote community welfare and hold open forum discussions on topics of interest to members. The Board has not held any open discussion on the speed cushion proposal.

Article VI, Section 2: Only 10 members are needed to demand a Special Meeting. Submit a written request signed by 10 homeowners to the Board specifying the purpose of the meeting. The Board must schedule it within a reasonable time.
